New Beds for Daisy Dog

Daisy Dog's bed  under the kitchen table was looking icky.  She also likes to nap in our family room on a stack of blankets.  The blankets were cluttering up the living  room. We splurged and bought her two new beds.  The two beds are the same so I only took pictures of one of the beds.

She even liked the tag.  :)

She was ready for a nap in her new bed. 

No more blankets cluttering our living room and we said good-bye to her icky bed. 

Decluttered Dishes

Today hubby and I went through the dishes in our dining room and kitchen.

We were surprised to see how many dishes that we don't use.  We got rid of most of the fragile dishes.  We only kept our favorites, family heirlooms and things that are sturdy.

We discovered we had way too many salad bowls and flower vases.

Good-bye.... farewell!!

Master Bedroom Decluttered

I wish I had more pics of the master bedroom for your but.... I still have a few boxes at one side of the room.

Here is the bed area.  Yes, our bedspread is kinda wild.  We are not getting rid of color.

Only the absolute necessities.  The dark shadow on the side of the table is a few books. Much easier to dust and no dust collecting linens

Ooops!!  (I forgot to take a pic of the "after".... you can imagine the changes right??) :)-

The next couple of pictures had sunshine issues.... too much sunshine.  SO SORRY!

We started with gauzy curtains.  They are simple but they were collecting dust are almost impossible to wash.

Underneath we had linen blinds.  So much easier to keep clean.... just vacuum.  I now need to remove the hardware from walls.  

This week's task:   get rid of the large pile of to donate and start listing a few items to sell. 

Hall Bathroom Decluttered

The hall bathroom is decluttered.

I removed the old shower curtain (too frilly and fussy) and now I need to buy a new one.  I am going to look for a solid colored one... no frills and plain hooks.  I am thinking a green colored curtain.

The tile wall used to have fish stickers on them.  All carefully taken off!

This is the sink area.  I don't like the toothbrush holder that is one the wall so I used a butter dish to hold the toothbrushes while they dry.  Since we are renting the wood holder will have to stay. :(

The toilet area is what changed the most.

I got rid of or boxed up what you see here.  Bye-Bye!!

After....

A single candle holder is it for the shelf. 

In the fabric box in some bath scrub, a simple glass bottle and one white handkerchief.

This is the only picture in this room. 

Clean, simple bathroom. 

I am excited to see if a solid colored shower curtain will warm up this slightly sterile space.  

No muss no fuss... just the necessities.

** I should have the bedroom done and pictures up by Sunday night.
