We were given a candy plate for a Christmas gift.... a plate made of candy.

Set of Criss Cross Hot Pads
I am finishing up my quilts and still have TONS of fabric leftover (a large rubbermaid box full to over flowing).
I decided to use up some of the scraps and make some hot pads. With the holidays almost here I want to have some quick wrap items on hand. (They also make nice hostess gifts).

Each of the hot pads are about 7 1/2 inches square.
Here they are close up....
The beauty of these hot pads are quick to put together. I think I will make a few more of these.... I might even make a couple for myself.

Quilt Progress-- Lots of Pink
Last Sunday I finished up the back and middle of two of my Christmas quilts. I still have to sew the binding. I have about 6 quilts to sew the binding on... you should see the pile of quilts!! It is overwheming!!
Here are my two pink quilts....
I cleaned up the edging and added the binding....
The binding matches the backing fabric. This will be a wild quilt!
I made a dolly picnic blanket/little girl quilt....
Here I am attaching the binding. You can see the other quilt as well.
The back is a soft peach color. It doesn't look like it matches but there is actually lots of peach in the blocks in the quilt (just not the dominate color).
I am still crossing my fingers that I get all of the Christmas quilts done and binding secured in time for Christmas.

Felt Mini Stockings
When I was little we had mini stockings to hang on the tree with our names on them. I wanted to make a bunch of them for gift tags for Christmas gifts.
This post is particpating in Craft o Manic Linky Party. Check out all the holiday ornaments and more posts.
I cut out the stockings using Martha Stewart's mini stocking template. Click here to see the template.
Then I glued them together. I use the sparkly glitter glue for the cuff. I tried writing people names on them but it didn't work.
Instead I ended up doing a glittery border around the cuff
Each gift gets a felt stocking to hang on their tree for next year.
