Pampered Pooch

Our Daisy Dog loves blanket and pillows.  She knows that her head belongs on pillows.

She is such a girl... she had to fall in love with my childhood pink blanket.  I finally gave in and gave her two throw pillow so that she wouldn't steal my good ones off the couch.

The other night  I carried her to her bed and posed her.  This is what she looked like.... just like a little person. She loved it and didn't move an inch while I took pics of her.

Such a silly dog!!!  Most nights she will whine until one of us tucks her in for the night.  She is so spoiled.

Our beagle thinks she is a person but I was shocked  that she tolerated looking into my antique ViewMaster.  Check this out...

Our backyard visitor

This week we found a backyard visitor hopping around... it  startling me.  I am used to a dog following me  around the yard but not this.....

He/or she is lives around my garden.  In the picture below, he is trying to hide from me by our outdoor fireplace.

Some days he  hops out of from under the cabbage or radishes when I least expect it.  Today he was hiding in the sage.

Our dog is not quite sure what to do with this toad... howl at it or be frightened by it.  Silly dog!!

Lazy Dog

Our beagle has taken laziness to a new level lately.  

She used the chair to hold up her head while she watched us make breakfast. 

Dr. Daisy

We have the most patient dog in the world it seems.  We put hats on her, bandannas, and now stethoscopes... and for the most part she tolerates it.  After school Kiddo was trying to listen to the dogs heart.  He got the idea to have her "dress up" as a doctor.

First Snow

We have been terribly dry here... as you can see we have no more lawn.

I started to hear rain early this morning and then it turned to snow this afternoon for about 30 minutes.
It was just starting to stick to the ground and the snow stopped falling.  Fall/winter is here!!

Daisy Dog wanted to see what all the commotion was about..... she looked out briefly and then got comfy on the chair. 

Even the house is a touch chilly.. the heat came on this afternoon.  

I am wearing thick winter socks.... need to locate my slippers at some point today. BRRRRR!!!

Puppy Sitting

We are watching our friends dog for a few weeks (the dog on the left).  Our Daisy is just not quite sure of all of the changes since having another dog around. She didn't like sharing her blanket... but we insisted.

Sorry the pic turned out so dark... it was late and the thought of a flash...NOPE!

This morning as I eat my oatmeal, I have two dogs staring me down, hoping I will drop something.  Sorry pups!!
