Summer Baby Blanket

Some friends of ours had a baby.... I wanted to give them a blanket. The last blanket that I made was for winter (pretty thick).  I wanted a summer blanket.  I kept this one thin but pretty!  **The blanket is a small cuddly size... perfect for laying on the living rom floor or covering up while nursing.

I used a lightweight flannel for the front.

On all of my baby blankets I add strip of satiny ribbon.... gives the blanket different textures.

Then I skipped the thick filler and just added a cotton backing.  Soft but not hot and stuffy for summer.
