I started by sewing small squares of fabric together and made a strip that is just a touch longer than the piece of cardboard that I had in mind (long and narrow). Then I sewed another strip the same length for the backside. Then I closed up all the ends of the bookmark. Super easy!!
Now to cut out more squares and more cardboard strips. I think they will make nice gifts for family/friends who love to read.
